Stanley Baker as Lt. John Chard, R. E. comptenplates the carnage in the classic film Zulu which depicts the Battle of Rorke's Drift which was fought on the 22nd and 23rd of January, 1879. Even with its share of historical inaccuracies this film would probably be considered be the most popular of all films dealing with Queen Victoria's imperial wars both large and small.
