It's A Long Wat To Tipperary would gain worldwide fame as the most popular marching song amongst allied and associated troops during the Great War. It is possible that the song was even more popular with late arriving American soldiers than it was with British troops.  It is perhaps one of the few marching tunes from the Great War that is still recognized by the general public more than a century after the end of the war.

The cover illustration of a scarlet and khaki clad sergeant of highlanders is standout.
