Richard Todd as Sergeant Sam Hargis in The Hellions. The film is set in 19th Century South Africa deals with the conflict between Todd - a sergeant in South African Constabulary and a group of outlaws led by Luke Billings (Lionel Jeffries) and his sons with one son - Jubal Billings - played by James Booth.

The film was compared favorably with the classic Gary Cooper western High Noon on which it was largely based.
