Officer No. 244 of the London Metropolitan Police. A Veteran of the Anglo-Boer War, he wears the Queen's South Africa Medal with four clasps, the King's South Africa medal with its usual "1901" and "1902" clasps. He also wears the 1902 Edward VII Coronation (Police) Medal. This last medal was awarded to all members of the police forces who were involved in Edward VII coronation celebrations
