I have titled this 16th plate tintype "The Man With No Name" simply because the low crowned, flat crowned hat worn by the man on the right reminds me of the hat popularized by actor Clint Eastwood in his many so-called "Spaghetti Westerns" and later films such as High Plains Drifter and Pale Rider. The other man on the left wears a typical workingman's peaked cap on his head.

Both men wear vests and heavy velvet collared topcoats which would seem to indicate that it was rather cold out when they decided to have themselves recorded for posterity.
Additionally, both men seem to be hamming it up for the camera to a certain extent and chose to be photographed with cigars clenched in their teeth.

In reality, both subjects are Men With No Names and will probably always remain - most unfortunately - unidentified due to the quite often anonymous nature of tintype photographs.
