Patrick Whyte as Colonel Standish in NBC Television's short lived adventure series The 77th Bengal Lancers.  The series ran for the single 1956-57 season with 26 episodes being aired.

Prior to his arrival in Hollywood, Morris Patrick Fitzgerald O'Neill Hudman "Chalky" Whyte (1907-1984) served as an officer in the Indian Army beginning sometime before 1932. He was attached to the Jaipur Lancers, and later the Second 16th Punjab Regiment. Apparently invalided out of the army, Whyte made his way to Hollywood and would serve as technical advisor and actor is dozens of film and television productions.
