Desmond Tester as Drummer Bill Holder in Zoltan Korda's 1938 film The Drum. Based on A. E. W. Mason's novel the film was marketed in the U.S. under the title Drums.

Born Sydney Desmond Tester in London England in 1919, Tester relocated to Australia after World War II. He passed away in Sydney on 31 December 2002.
