Two early 20th Century real photo postcards that caricature officers of the Gordon Highlanders. Part of a set, these are numbered 14 and 18, the complete set must have parodied the
officers of either of the regiment's 1st or 2nd battalions.

Each care consists of a out-sized photographic portrait of the officer superimposed on a cartoon-like body. One might assume that all of the participating officers took part out a sense of
good natured fun, but you might not guess that given the stoic expressions seen on these to cards. It is possible that the portraits were re-shot from existing photographs of the officers
