Wit his apparent youth belying his sergeant rank and veteran status, this rather young looking noncommissioned officer wears the ribbon for the Queen's South Africa Medal and was
probably a member of the South Australian Bushmen who was photographed sometime after his return home from service in the Anglo-Boer War. Unidentified, little else can be gleaned
for this otherwise fine portrait of this South Australian soldier.
