This photograph and the two related images that follow depict Italian actors dressed in the military garb of 17th
Century cavaliers from the time of the 30 Years War. The level of detail in the costuming is incredible and I am
convinced that many of the costume props - most notably the spurs and rapiers - are actual artifacts from the
1600's. In addition these photographs have a look and feeling of actually having been taken during the 17th
Century or perhaps look the way photographs would have looked had photography been invented 200 year before it
actually was.
