lthough bearing no direct indication as to the original photographer may have been or the identity of the subject, I believe this carte de visite formatted tintype was taken in Hamilton,
Bermuda by the same photographer who created the similarly styled tintype of a Royal Artillery gunned featured in this same section of Soldiers of the Queen.  This image depicts an
unidentified soldier wearing a white five button summer or tropical service frock. His pillbox type forage cap which rests on the studio chair next to him appears to have a white cover.

The image has some rust related blistering along its right hand side of a type commonly found on metal plate photographs which have been stored in damp locations.
