Three young brothers dressed in military uniform were photographed sometime around the time of the Anglo-Boer War. The two elder boys wear complete uniforms while the youngest
at right wears what may be a school sweater. He also carries a bugle with no mouthpiece. Based upon the rather unique looking pagris on their hats they may have been the sons of a
man serving is a South African colonial unit rather than  regular British regiment. The eldest boy at center does wear a single collar badge which can not quite be made out in detail.
The boys intended the photo as a gift as it is inscribed on the reverse side "
Auntie Amy".
