With bayonet afixed to his toy rifle, miniature bandoleer across his chest and Yeomanry-style had on his head this young soldier may
have been the son of a soldier serving during the Anglo-Boer War or perhaps his family was caught up in the patriotic fervor that swept
Britain during the war. Instead of a uniform he wears a Norfolk jacket, high button top shoes and knee britches.
