This stern looking older man wears a Crimean War medal with what might be a Turkish Crimea medal although the
suspender of the second medal does not match the plain ring-type suspender commonly found on the Turkish medal.
The young girl could well be his grand daughter. The firm set to this man's countenance still speaks something of
the character of those who fought and survived in the terrible conditions of the Crimea.
