This unidentified gunner of the Royal Artillery wears the sash and apron of the Ancient Order of Foresters. This photograph
illustrates clearly how various fraternal organizations would mimic the regalia traditionally associated with the Masons.

Found in the same album as the CDV of Gunner Douglas Reid, this soldier was most likely a member of the 15th Brigade, Royal
Artillery. He had been in the service for sometime when he stood for this photograph, wearing as he does three good conduct stripes
on his right cuff.
