Memorial Cabinet Card
Unknown Photographer
London, England
December 1917

David Henry was born at Holborn, London in 1890 to William and Olive Napier.

The card was produced with a primarily black colour scheme denoting mourning. It features a small inset sepia toned portrait of Private Napier in tropical service uniform. Occupying the
larger portion of the card are the images of Napier’s mother, Olive and his younger sister Mary. Curiously, his father William appears to have chosen not to be included in the group
photograph.  A small, printed dedication in the lower left hand corner reads:

With Mr., Mrs. and Mary Napier’s
kind remembrance, the 41st month of the Great War,
46 Fairlawn Mansions
New Cross Gate, S.E. 14
